Fund Summary

Mapletree Japan Investment Country Private Trust (MAJIC) is Mapletree’s second Japan logistics development fund and third fund focused on Japan, after prior successful Japan funds delivered strong performances. MAJIC has an investment strategy to undertake value-add/opportunistic investments with the aim of generating development gains and income from completed logistics properties. The closed-end fund is seeded with three logistics development projects in Tokyo Bay Area, central Kyoto and Miyagi Prefecture. The Fund will continue to source quality logistics development projects for acquisition, in order to fully deploy the committed capital raised.

Mr Osamu Pedro Ebinuma

Mr Osamu Pedro Ebinuma is the CEO of Mapletree Japan. In this role, he leads Mapletree’s business activities and operations in Japan.

Mr Ebinuma brings with him more than 34 years of various real estate experience, such as real estate acquisition and management, development, private fund raising and management, and REITs management covering the logistics and office sectors in Japan.

Prior to joining Mapletree, Mr Ebinuma was CEO of Spring Investment (currently Tokyo Gas Real Estate Advisors) where he managed a joint venture fund with a global investor, an Japan REIT and separately managed accounts with foreign investors.

Prior to that, he was the Chief Investment Officer of IDERA Capital Management, Head of Acquisition and Asset Management of Deutsche Securities (RREEF), and Head of Hard Asset Acquisition, Head of Non-Performing Loan Acquisition and Head of Legal / Closing of Morgan Stanley Capital (formally Morgan Stanley Properties).

Mr Ebinuma holds a Master and Bachelor of Science (Architecture) from Tokyo Institute of Technology.
